A varied and important role, the Post holder is responsible for organising, coordinating, validating and managing driver training, ensuring compliant and safe driver training on a full range of military vehicles for all members of 30 Cdo IX and other Commando Forces Units as required. This can be for the delivery of training both from home establishment and other military and training delivery locations away from home base. Setting the example, the Post Holder will also provide Operations Support to the Commando Forces, held at very high readiness, by ensuring their movement to and from airports and seaports as required.

We are looking for a capable, reliable, conscientious, diligent, and motivated professional with the drive to accurately manage, coordinate, and deliver military driver training for the Commando Forces while being ready to assist with Operations Support tasks. The postholder must have the breadth to work either autonomously or as a member of a focused team. Ultimately this will enhance Commando Forces Operations and Operations Support capabilities and allow them to deploy when being held at very high readiness.

Professional qualifications can be achieved through an apprenticeship and range from Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs), Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A Levels), and Levels 4 -7, which can give you a foundation degree, a full Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree.
Apprenticeships normally last between 12 months – 3 years, depending on the level of the apprenticeship.
Anyone can undertake an Apprenticeship and everyone, regardless of age, can benefit from developing their skills in an accredited way.
